It can be a daunting task to run a business let alone get solutions when you are faced with a huge problem. Some individuals loose motivation while others are intrinsically motivated. As an entrepreneur seeking to grow a healthy business, it is best not to travel the journey alone.

Seeking professionals services helps to quicken the process, saving you time and money. Two services can assist you on your business: coaching and consulting. The biggest question most new business owners is “Which service should I choose?” Let’s discuss this question in detail below.

What Does A Business Coach Do?

A business coach works with you to develop the skills you have that need to be unveiled. They help you realize the solutions for yourself.

A business coach aids in purpose discovery, brainstorming and empowers you to strive ahead in your business.

Many business coaches address multiple topics including mindset issues such as: self-limiting beliefs, fear and rejection (which are extremely important to address to achieve business success).

They provide support and accountability to ensure that follow through happens and procrastination can be prevented!

Overall, at the end of your coaching journey, you will have a “plan of action” for your business, and your coach will support you as you implement it your actions steps.

Now, let’s consider option #2…

What Does A Business Consultant Do?

A business consultant is more of an expert you turn to for help with your already existing business or business idea. They teach you skills you don’t know, analyze your business and create an action plan for you to implement.

They are competent in strategic business planning, which they use to assess the direction and scalability of your business. They work with you regarding the acquisition customers and retention, business system implementation, packaging of services, pricing, sales, marketing, and so much more.

Business consultants analyze the goals you have for your business and help you create the plan of action required for you to actually accomplish those goals!

Which One Do You Need?

Both are needed run a successful business! And that’s why with LMBI, we offer both separately as well as a coach/consultant hybrid within the BIG IMPACT service. We empower you, provide you with clarity, accountability and support while also providing solutions within the technical side of business, such as: sales, marketing, lead generation etc.

If you’re trying to decide whether to choose coaching or consulting, here’s a simple way to look at it —

A coach is like a partner or guide, while a consultant is more like a trusted advisor.

So when trying to decide which service you need, think about:

1. What you know about running a business (a little or well knowledgable?)
2. The level of support you require. (need a lot of help vs. needing only a guide)
3. The results you would like to achieve (arrive at your destination based on your decisions vs. using the steps of someone who knows the journey).
