Marketing: Creating the Perfect Speaking Reel to Promote Your Talk
Here are a few things to consider as you create your speaking demo video:
- Be sure to have at least 2-3 consecutive minutes of you speaking in front of an audience.
- Make your video personable, professionally edited and concise. Avoid using flashy graphics and sound effects.
- Introduce your expertise, testimonials, books authored and media clips. This is fine as long as you do not allow this to take up majority of the video time. Give that information 30 – 60 seconds of your video.
- Only use professionally video taped clips of you speaking. Sound quality needs to be good and that the video quality is light and sharp.
